II. A tantárgy célja (a fenntarthatóság szempontjai)

A tantárgy célja:
A kurzus mester-szinten tárgyalja a PDA-t (politikai diskurzus elemzés) és a CDA-t (kritikai diskurzuselemzés), társadalomtudományi kutatásokra. Összefoglalja azokat a módszereket, melyekkel kutatható a politika természete: interpretatív és definiáló megközelítéssel elemzi a politikai folyamatokat és határozza meg a politikai 'valóságot' és normákat. Bevezeti az interpretatív társadalomtudományt, majd ismerteti a kutatási tradíciókat (diskurzuselemzés). Az alábbiakban az angol terminusok használatával sorolom a tudományterület tanulmányozandó szegmenseit:
1. nature of discourse and its social and political functions
2. key themes in political discourse analysis
3. the actual analytical process.
A kurzus végére a hallgatók megszerzik azt a tudást, mellyel megértik a nyelv politikai fontosságát, a diskurzuselemzést és annak módszertanát. A tantermi és azon kívüli munkával olyan gyakorlati szkillekre tesznek szert, melyekkel a diskurzuselemzést saját hasznukra tudják fordítani (szakdolgozat, diskurzuselmélet, diskurzuselemzés irodalma).

A fenntarthatóság szempontjai:
Az ENSZ 17 pontjához kapcsolódó hivatalos anyagok elemzése (szövegelemzés is!)

Képesek legyenek arra, hogy alkalmazzák a diskurzus elemzési módszert egy szabadon választott esetre, megfelelően mutassák be a tanultakat (írásban és szóban).
Tudják kritikusan kezelni a mások által bemutatott munkákat.
