The most sustainable educational building in Hungary belongs to the community of Corvinus University of Budapest. In August, the Gellért Campus was awarded a Gold rating in the world's leading green building certification programme, LEED.
From September, most of the physical education classes will be held in the new Sport Centre, which will soon be open to the public in addition to the classes.
Bruno van Pottelsberghe, the President-Rector of Corvinus University appointed on 1 August, wants to develop Corvinus into a major international player. The new leader, who now also holds the position of President, spoke about his vision at the opening ceremony of Corvinus on 30 August, which was followed for the first time this year by a more informal opening festival on the University's new, innovative Gellért campus.
