The Institute of Strategy and Management announces an open call for applications for the Assistant Lecturer position for 1 year definite period.
The starting date is spring semester 2024/25.
Job description and key duties:
Teaching duties:
- At least 12 lessons (1 lesson = 45 minutes) per week on average of two semesters)
- Participation in the teaching of subjects related to the Institute of Strategy and Management
Research duties:
- Research activities within the institute
- Preparation of research reports and regular publishing in leading international journals, meeting the publication requirements
Service duties
- Participation in scientific professional conferences and events
Essential criteria:
- Comprehensive exam (also referred to as: admission to candidacy or PhD qualifying exam) passed in a doctoral program
- Higher education teaching/ research experience or research experience gained in research centre
- Experience in the teaching of at least one course (preferably in a language other than Hungarian) or participation in a research project
- Academic publication activity
Desirable criteria:
- Experience in teaching interactive courses, such as soft skill trainings
- Participation in research projects, preferably as a member of a research group
- Experience in applying for domestic or international grants
- Participation in domestic and international conferences
Documents and certificates to be submitted as part of the application:
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae
- Presentation of the teaching, research and service performance and activities in three separate documents
- Cover letter, including the presentation of future academic plans (educational, teaching development and research plans)
- References written by at least two reputable leading professors or researchers of the discipline (signed, scanned)
- ☐Research paper/☐Job market paper/☒Working paper/☐Doctoral dissertation
- Scanned copies of the documents verifying the university degree, scientific rank (eg. PhD degree), the documents verifying other professional qualifications. (In case of scientific ranks obtained abroad, the nostrification will be arranged in the next phase of the selection procedure.)
