Call for applications:Artificial Faces, Real Personalities Conference

The Institute of Communication and Sociology and the CGI-Deepfake research group from the same institution are hosting a conference entitled Artificial Faces, Real Personalities. The conference is going to take place at Corvinus University of Budapest, on the 24th of May 2022. The official language of the conference is Hungarian.

The conference focuses on image and video manipulation and virtual characters  in the form of theoretical and empirical session presentations. Case studies and analyses can also be presented in the form of poster presentations.  

The planned topics are the following: 

  1. Image editing, image manipulation; filters and new beauty ideals
  2. Virtual and real influencers; the relationship between virtual characters and users; virtual characters in (online) education
  3. Voice cloning, voice synthesis, text-to-speech
  4. Deepfake, video manipulation and reality

To apply for the conference, please fill in the online registration form, indicating your chosen topic and submitting an abstract of up to 1500 characters. Deadline for application: 31. January 2022. The online form is available here: bit.ly/arcok20220524
