At a Crossroads: The Future of Doctoral Education – Forum at Corvinus University of Budapest

The language of event is Hungarian. 

Among the key topics to be addressed are: 

• How can the societal value of doctoral programs be assessed? 

• What impact do new regulations have on doctoral education? 

• How can the connection between theory and practice be strengthened? 

• How can the international competitiveness of doctoral programs be evaluated? 

The program is divided into two main sessions: 

1. Doctoral Education: Present and Future, Key Questions – Esteemed experts analyze the state of doctoral education on both national and international levels. 

2. Doctoral Education in Business and Management Sciences – Leaders of doctoral schools in the field share their insights and experiences. 

Renowned experts will deliver presentations and share their perspectives, including: 

• Zoltán Benyó, Professor (Semmelweis University), President of the National Doctoral Council 

• Dániel Molnár, Doctoral Candidate (University of Debrecen), President of the National Association of Doctoral Students 

• Valéria Csépe, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, President of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee 

• Imre Fertő, Professor, Head of the Doctoral School of Business and Management at Corvinus University of Budapest 

• Balázs Heidrich, Professor, Head of the Doctoral School of Entrepreneurship and Business at Budapest Business School 

• Gábor Michalkó, Professor, Head of the Doctoral School of Business and Management Sciences at the University of Pannonia 

The forum offers participants a unique opportunity to hear expert opinions and engage in discussions about the challenges and opportunities in doctoral education. 

Organized by the Business Administration Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Center for International Higher Education Studies at Corvinus University, this event promises to be a thought-provoking platform for dialogue.
