The Department of Geo is organizing a lecture in the framework of the 2019-1.2.1-UNIVERSITY-ECO-2019-00022 University Innovation Ecosystem project, in which this time János Brenner presents the situation of spatial and urban planning in Germany. The topic of today’s program will be to get an overview on development and planning policies in Germany, especially the long-term development trends, the legal basis, some relevant plans and papers, and some actual questions. Within this context, the term ‘spatial planning’ is used in a manner overarching both the territorial (European, nationwide and regional) and the local (urban) issues.
