The project subject was designed so that students with different backgrounds and interests could work together on a project and then prepare their joint thesis from it.
The project is based on intensive seminar and research work in small groups (3-5 people), during which students apply what they have learned in the methodology module to answer a concrete, real-world problem. I have earned my PhD at the Corvinus University Budapest, International Relations Multidisciplinary Doctoral School. I am the program director of the International Economy and Business Master programme since January 2020. I was a visiting professor at the University of Leeds, EM Strasbourg, University College London and Jagiellonian University in recent years. I have been involved in several international double degree programmes such as SCRIBE21, IMESS and two Horizon 2020 research programmes. I am currently working on two themes: one is finding the connection between economic insecurity and how this influences voting behaviour, while the second one is analysing asylum seeker destination choices.
As part of our double degree programme, you can apply to the University of Liège. This way, alongside your studies at Corvinus, you can also complete a programme at this foreign university. With two degrees, you’ll have a significant advantage in the job market, as the quality of a Corvinus degree is well-known in Hungary, and an international qualification demonstrates your strong language skills and international experience.
Moreover, you can also apply to CEMS, which was ranked in the top 6% of the world’s best business programmes this year in the QS 2024 Masters in Management Rankings (11th out of 199 programmes). By successfully applying, not only will the doors to 33 leading business schools and over 70 corporate partners open for you, but you’ll also become part of a global alumni network of 20,000 members.
