Slow Life and Slow Business workshop
On March 18, 2022 the Business Ethics Center of Corvinus University of Budapest and the Ludwig Museum in Budapest organized an online international workshop on “Slow Life – Slow Business” as part of the TRANS-GENERATIVES 2030 program of UNESCO Chair in Art and Science of Sustainable Development Goals at ICN Business School, Nancy.
The workshop was based on and developed further the “SLOW LIFE. Radical Practices of the Everyday” exhibition of Ludwig Museum.
In the first part of the workshop the Deputy Director of Ludwig Museum, Zsuzsanna Feher presented the sustainability efforts of the Ludwig Museum. Then Curator Jozsef Keszman introduced the SLOW LIFE exhibition. Participating artists, Krisztina Erdei (Budapest) and Antal Lakner (Budapest) shared their views on slowness and its relevance for today’s life. A virtual tour about the SLOW LIFE exhibition was available for the participants before the workshop.
In the second part of the workshop distinguished academic thinkers explored the meaning and relevance of the slow approach for business referring to ecological regeneration, human scale organizing, and community involvement. Invited academics included Paul Shrivastava (Penn State University & ICN Business School, Nancy), David M. Wasieleski (Duquesne University & ICN Business School, Nancy), and Laszlo Zsolnai (Corvinus University of Budapest & Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford).
