This year’s doctoral admission campaign launched the recently introduced two-way doctoral training and the Corvinus Doctoral Scholarship Program in line with the Institutional Development Plan. Interest in the Program was considerable.

Corvinus

Applicants were invited to apply to the four doctoral schools that were created after the merger of the earlier existing seven schools in 2020. Thanks to the successful collaboration among the Communications team, the managements of the doctoral schools and the doctoral administration staff, the application process was supported by a successful intensive campaign lasting several weeks. As a result of the great interest manifested in the applications the submission deadline even needed to be extended.

Altogether 161 people applied to the Corvinus Doctoral Schools, 24% more than last year. It is gratifying to know that a very promising number of the applicants applied for the new expert-track, which is approximately one third of the applicants. 20% of the applicants are foreigners, mainly from developing countries, but there are also German, Dutch, American, Austrian, Portuguese, Italian and Latvian citizens among the applicants. The table below shows the number of applicants to each doctoral school.
