V4 2030 – Post pandemic recovery in the V4 region
Researchers of Corvinus university work together with the University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia), Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic) and 4CF company (Poland, coordinator) on the project named “V4 2030: Emerging sustainable innovation pathways towards a Post-COVID-19 recovery.” The project started in 2021 and has already reached an important milestone: a thorough analysis of the relevant scientific literature that focuses on the effects and aftermath of the pandemic in the V4 region. The member countries were equally influenced by the emerging crisis, but while some tendencies did not change drastically in the past few years, other trends have been sped up or turned significantly, e.g., those connected to online learning, home office, or innovations in healthcare. The main results are summarised in a presentation available at https://4cf.pl/en/overviev-of-trends-shaping-the-future-of-the-visegrad-region/ .
As the second phase of the research, experts from different scientific fields in the V4 countries were invited to an extended online Delphi process to evaluate the selected trends derived from the literature review. The analysis of the results is yet to be done. Afterwards, a wider foresight-oriented open discussion is scheduled during the next Foresight Europe Network (FEN) meeting as a special panel of the Planetary Futures of Health and Wellbeing conference in Turku, 15-17 June 2022.
