Visegrad Scholarship

Corvinus University of Budapest endorses the Visegrad Scholarship programme for Master applicants from Central and Eastern Europe.

The scholarship makes the outstanding possibility of international higher education at Corvinus accessible and financially viable for more students in this region and beyond!

Application deadline: mid-April

Key scholarship facts:

  • An estimated 60 scholarships was available in 2023
  • € 3,000/semester paid directly to scholarship awardees
  • €1,500/semester discounted from awardees’ tuition fees
  • The scholarship covers two semesters with the possibility of extension.

Eligibility – nationality

You may be eligible to apply for the scholarship if you are from one of the following countries.

Visegrad countries

Czech Republic
Poland
Slovakia

Western Balkans

Albania
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Kosovo
Montenegro
North Macedonia
Serbia

Eastern Partnership

Armenia
Azerbaijan
Belarus
Georgia
Moldova
Ukraine

Your domiciled address must be >150km from Corvinus.

Hungarian nationals are not eligible to apply for the scholarship (to study in Hungary).

Applicants in receipt of other scholarships (e.g. Stipendium Hungaricum) are not eligible to apply for the Visegrad Scholarship.

How to apply?

If you are eligible, applying for the scholarship is easy.

You should first apply to Corvinus as a self-funded international applicant.

Before 15 April, you should then apply independently for the scholarship via the Visegrad Fund website.

You will later have to provide a letter of acceptance from Corvinus and eventually proof of enrolment (once you start your programme).

You must renew the scholarship each semester by providing proof of passing 30 ECTS in the previous semester.
