Announcement of election of the delegates of the Delegate Assembly
Doctoral Student Council of the Corvinus University of BudapestThe Supervisory Board of DSC publishes the following election notice, to which the following addition is added: due to the global pandemic situation, we believe that this year we should provide longer nomination period, to make sure every new Doctoral school will be able to encourage and involve the new comers – especially those who have started their PhD program, but have not been able to be physically present- into the election of DSC. The election of the delegates of the Assembly shall be held by doctoral schools. Doctoral students trained in one doctoral school form one electoral district.
The schedule of the election
- Announcement of election: 29 January 2021.
- Application period for candidates: from 29 January 2020 until 15 April 2021.
- Voting period at least: from 21 April 2021 until 5 May 2021. 12:00
- The definition of persons entitled to nominate as candidate and vote on the elections
On the election all doctoral students with doctoral student status with the University shall vote and may be elected. Doctoral students are entitled to vote or to run as a candidate in the doctoral school to which the belong. If a doctoral student belongs to more than one doctoral school, he or she is entitled to vote or to run as a candidate in the doctoral school of his or her choice but one doctoral school at the most.
The method, place and time of nomination
The candidation of the candidates should be done electronically by sending their application via email from the candidate’s own email address to the e-mail of the DSC Supervisory Committee (dokfb@uni-corvinus.hu). In the application you have to indicate:
- your full name;
- date of birth;
- NEPTUN code;
- your doctoral school, where you are running as a candidate;
- optionally also can write a 200 to 500 character text introductory about yourself.
Application period for candidates is from 29 January 2021 until 15 April 2021.
The method, place and time of the publication of the identity of the candidates and the data they provide
Candidate names and their introductions by each doctoral school shall be made publicly available on the DSC website, and it shall be ensured that the persons entitled to vote are notified through electronic message about the publication.
The method, place and time of voting
The voting takes place in the Neptun system by filling the the related questionnaire form under the Administration / Questionaires.
You can vote only for the candidates of your own doctoral school. You can vote for a maximum number of 3 candidates. Your votes are equal. For one candidate only one vote may be given. You have to vote at least for 1 candidate in order to give a valid vote.
Voting period starts from 29 January 2021 until at least 5 May 2021.
At least 10 consecutive working days shall be provided for the voting. If it is not possible to establish that the conditions for the validity and successfulness of the election are realized on the 10th working day at the latest, the time period for voting shall be extended.
The election shall be valid if at least 25 percent of the full-time doctoral students have been participated on the voting. The election shall be successful if at least three of the delegates has been elected.
The place and time of publication of the voting results
The candidate who receives the most votes shall become the delegate in his or her doctoral school. In the same doctoral school, the following two candidates with the highest number of votes, but not elected, will be elected substitute delegates in the order of their number of votes.
The results of the voting and the percentage of participation by each doctoral school shall be made publicly available on the DSC website, and it shall be ensured that the persons entitled to vote are notified through electronic message about the publication.
Complaints
Any doctoral student may complain to the Supervisory Committee within 3 working days of becoming aware of the fact or circumstance giving rise to the complaint at the following contact: dokfb@uni-corvinus.hu.
