Budapest is the capital city of Hungary, home to approximately 9.7 million people. The city is spanning 525.2 square kilometres and is currently hosting approximately 1.7 million people from diverse backgrounds and countries of origin. The city is divided by the famous Danube River into two main areas: Buda and Pest. The former is where some of the most iconic and oldest buildings can be found, including Buda Castle and the Fisherman’s Bastion; whereas, the latter is mostly business and residential districts and also where the night lives take place.
