International Relations Development Project
Leader: Oszkár Zoltán Szántó, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Accreditations
The strategic goal of the renewal of Corvinus University is to become the leading institution in Central Europe in the field of economics and social sciences in international higher education rankings by 2030. Corvinus University of Budapest is the only university in Hungary with international accreditation in the field of economics, in addition, Corvinus currently has not one, but two international accreditations, both of which are key in the field of economics: The University achieved EFMD-EQUIS certification in 2018 and AMBA accreditation in 2020.
The work under the project will enable Corvinus to become a “three-crown” business education institution (accredited by AACSB, AMBA, EFMD), and the optimistic scenario is that the University will obtain AACSB accreditation in 2022, which will place it among the best universities in the world in its fields of study. The International Relations Development Project is an active contributor to the creation of the Central European Network of Universities, a network of universities in Central Europe. The work of the project has led to a steady increase in the number of joint courses between the University and prestigious universities abroad.
