Checking the Scopus Profile
Authors who have publications in any of the journals or books indexed by Scopus, have a Scopus profile.
Scopus’ algorithm automatically generates authors’ profiles based on the metadata featured in documents recorded in the database. The profile is linked to a Scopus ID. Each profile provides information on the author’s publications and citations.
Why is it important to check your Scopus Author Profile? If your Scopus profile is incorrect (you have multiple author profiles or it contains publications that don’t belong to you etc.) then your publication record will be inaccurate and confusing to those who want to read and cite your publications. This also means that the bibliometric information available via your Scopus Author Profile will be incorrect.
The author’s profile requires constant maintenance, so in order to keep it up-to-date, it is recommended to set up email alerts.
To check your Scopus Author Profile visit the Scopus website. To request the necessary corrections, register for a Scopus account.
