Open Access at Corvinus
Open access summary

Several subscription agreements of EISZ contain the open access publication possibility. This means that as subscribers, Corvinus researchers are also entitled to open access publication in the journals of listed publishers.
Below we have listed the EISZ Read and Publish possibilites which concern the Corvinus University of Budapest, broken down by publishers.

Regarding publications not covered by the contracts, it is possible to apply for the funds of open access within the university’s research support framework. Support for hybrid open access is not available.
Oxford University Press
Based on the Read and Publish agreement between Oxford University Press and the EISZ consortium, faculty members of Corvinus University of Budapest are entitled to open access publication without having to pay a publication fee. The opportunity is offered in the cases of articles accepted for publication in hybrid journals appointed by the publisher. The corresponding author may signify their need for open access publication after the acceptance of the article. Springer Nature
The Electronic Information Service National Programme (EISZ) has an Open Access agreement with Springer Nature. As part of the Springer Compact model, papers by researchers affiliated with EISZ members (such as Corvinus University Budapest) are published in open access form in more than 1.850 hybrid journals (Open Choice) of Springer without the payment of any publication charges (APC). Elsevier
The Electronic Information Service National Programme (EISZ) has an Open Access agreement with Elsevier. This opportunity, which is also open to researchers from our university, is available for articles submitted after 1 July 2019 and is conditional on the participating institution (in our case Corvinus University of Budapest) being affiliated with the corresponding author. The option is open to the journals of the publisher listed in the table. Akadémiai Kiadó (Academy Publishing)
Electronic Information Service National Programme (EISZ) has a Read & Publish agreement with Akadémiai Kiadó. This two-year contract provides free access to the journals of Akadémiai Kiadó for researchers affiliated with any EISZ member (such as Corvinus University Budapest). In addition, such researchers have the right to publish OA papers free of charge in the journals of Akadémiai Kiadó. As of 2019, the open access status is automatically assigned to such papers.
Taylor and Francis
Detailed information about the agreement between the EISZ consortium and Taylor and Francis in support of open access is available on the publisher’s website. Our university’s faculty may also benefit from this opportunity in the case of articles approved after 1 January, 2023. As for corresponding authors, the condition is that the affiliated institution (here, Corvinus University of Budapest) is a participant.
