The teaching duties of the Department of Computer Science are diverse, with colleagues teaching mainly in the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs in business s informatics, the undergraduate data science in business program, and the numerous postgraduate programs at the University.

Our courses are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to use large amounts of data effectively and to solve everyday problems in IT. This goal is served by our courses on database management, programming and software design, and artificial intelligence at undergraduate level, our courses on networking technologies and intelligent application development at master’s level, and the multi-faceted teaching work carried out in our postgraduate programs. Our Department also teaches a compulsory course on data analytics in the Business Informatics doctoral program.

The Department’s research focuses on algorithm-related optimization, modeling, heuristics, artificial intelligence for big data analysis, and research to support education methodologies.
