Department of Sustainability Management and Environmental Economics
The activity of our department focuses on educating and researching the various aspects of sustainability (corporate, individual/consumer, economic and policy), within the organizational framework of the Institute of Sustainable Development.
The education and research activities of the department – without claiming to be exhaustive – cover the following areas: corporate aspects of sustainability, corporate social responsibility, sustainable environmental models, sustainable consumption, sustainability performance evaluation and indicators, sustainability issues in education, environmental assessment, environmental and climate policy.
The goal of our educational activity on one hand is to provide students who are more deeply involved with sustainability with the possibility of deepening their knowledge, and on the other hand, to provide the widest possible range of students with basic knowledge of sustainability. Our educational activities cover the entire spectrum of the university (BSc, MSc, postgraduate and doctoral education). Based on the results of numerous international and domestic projects, our research activities find the basis of many prestigious scientific publications. At the same time, we also consider it important to spread knowledge towards the broader public audience.
