HR Committee
Introducing the HR unit
HR as a separate unit within the organisation was established as of 1 January 2020 to support the renewal of the Corvinus University of Budapest with pioneering human resource management tools and methods. Profound changes are planned in institutional functioning as well as in the areas of teaching and research, something HR can contribute to through improving organisation development and change management skills. The development and continuous support of managers and staff plays an equally important role. We would like to make the University an even more attractive workplace for its employees where the ambition of belonging to the forefront of European progress implies the fulfilment of employee skills and talents, the realisation of individual development goals.
HR targets to make sure that inspiring and developing colleagues, building a commitment for joint objectives gets an ever greater emphasis in the daily work of managers, allowing each staff member to make the most of their potential by satisfying their personal interests and scientific commitment. In order to achieve that target, a permanent dialogue about the conditions necessary for development, about the availability of training and foreign professional experiences, cooperation opportunities, as well as the creation of a corporate culture based on continuous feedback from all sides are indispensable.
We strive for excellence, therefore our strategic HR practices are adjusted to the best international university HR practices: recruitment-selection, onboarding, performance improvement, training-development, manager training, reward system. As a first step, we focus on the continuous development of competences as well as on the fair and genuine recognition of achievements measured against market benchmarks.
