Students’ Satisfaction Evaluation

Have your say – let’s shape education together!

We are committed to providing our students with a quality education that is outstanding both nationally and internationally. It is therefore important that we regularly seek the views of our students and learn about their experiences during their studies. We use and incorporate the feedback obtained in this way at various points. This page will help you to find out what each survey is intended for.

MyView

MyView is the university’s student feedback system. It gives all students, regardless of their level of education, the opportunity to give feedback on the courses they have taken and their teachers at the end of each semester. By completing the MyView questionnaires, students help Corvinus enhance its educational quality and determine the direction of development.

How can students fill in the survey?

  • The questionnaires can only be filled in digitally on MyView.
  • There are separate questionnaires for each subject, which can be loaded in separately.
  • Completion is always anonymous and voluntary.
  • The results of the questionnaires received will only be available to the University staff in aggregated form. The only exceptions to this are text responses.
  • The lecturers provide the opportunity to fill in the feedback questionnaire during the last course sessions of each subject.
  • In case a student is unable to attend the last course session, they can still complete the questionnaire until the end of the semester.

What information does MyView ask for and how?

  • Students can give feedback in three areas: the requirement, the content of the subject and the teaching of the lecturer.
  • The questionnaires contain both open-ended questions and questions that require textual explanation.

What are the surveys used for?

  • The surveys contribute to the development of the study programmes and to the revisions of their outcome requirements.
  • The feedback gained by the surveys are also taken into account by the university when developing teaching materials.
  • Student feedback can highlight good teaching practices that are worth disseminating more widely.
  • The lecturer of the subject can improve their teaching methods upon the received feedback.
  • The feedback for lecturers is also taken into account by the staff of the Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement and Methodology when designing internal trainings for lecturers.

Graduate student questionnaire

The graduate student questionnaire is one of the university’s quality assurance tools. In the questionnaire, students who have completed their studies can give feedback on the quality of their studies, student life and the services provided by the university. The results are used by Corvinus to identify areas for development.

When and how can the graduate students fill in the questionnaire?

  • The completion of the questionnaire is possible exclusively on the day of the final exam.
  • Completion is anonymous and voluntary.

What information does the questionnaire collect and how?

  • The most important topics covered by the questionnaire are: quality of education, the work of teachers, infrastructural conditions, the support system, student life and the university atmosphere.
  • The questionnaire also includes questions about the completed study programme and plans for further study or employment.
  • In addition, questions on internship and student mobility are also important part of the questionnaire.
  • The questionnaire includes questions requiring multiple choice and text explanation.

What is the questionnaire used for?

  • The University uses the data when planning subject and study programme development.
  • The results are also taken into account by the university when awarding teaching recognition and excellence prizes.
  • The data obtained from the questionnaire are part of the lecturers’ performance evaluation.

Graduate Career Tracking System (GCTS)

The Graduate Career Tracking System (GCTS) analyses and tracks the labour market pathways of students in higher education and graduates at national level.

How are the data collected?

The data are recorded by the higher education institutions under the coordination of the Education Office in accordance with Annex 3, point 1/B of the Higher Education Act.

Respondents participate in the collection of GCTS data in the following ways:

  • Active student motivation survey: its purpose is to reveal the students’ intentions, expectations and plans for employment and further education.
  • Final student survey: its purpose is to assess the current labour market situation of students who have completed their studies either 1 or 5 years ago, as well as how they can utilize what they learned during their studies.

The questionnaires are completed anonymously and on a voluntary basis.

What is the GCTS used for?

  • Data from the GCTS helps decision-makers to develop higher education policies and strategies.
  • They contribute to the development of the study programmes and the preparation of university decisions.
  • They also provide students with information to help them plan their careers and make career choices.
  • Prospective students are provided with information on expected employment opportunities on the labour market.

More details about the GCTS can be found on the Diplomán túl (“Beyond the Diploma”) website.
