1) AI in Research: Browsing (Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini), Information Retrieval (Scispace, ChatPDF, AskyourPDF, Docalysis), Correlations (Connected Papers, Litmap, Consensus), AI Detectors and QuillBot – September 2024.

As part of the Talent Management program of Corvinus University, the Artificial Intelligence Integration Centre (AIIC/MIIK) and the University Library launched a training course regarding the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools.

Our colleague, Attila Dabis, presented in the theme of Useful AI-tools with the following content.

0:00 – 2:55. Introduction of the topic, and clarification of the structure: Browsing, Extracting information, Searching for correlations

2:55 – 17:23. Browsing for information using Perplexity, Copilot and Gemini

17:24 – 24:46. Extracting information using Scispace (mentioning also ChatPDF, AskyourPDF, and Docalysis).

24:47 – 35:06. Searching for correlations using Connected Papers, Litmaps and Consensus.

35:07 – 37:54. AI Detectors

37:55 – 43.44. Q&A (including a demonstration of the AI Tool QuillBot)

The aim of the needs assessment is to examine the subscription possibilities and cost of potential AI-tools which could support effectively the teaching and research work of lecturers/Intstitutes.
