Old and rare books collection
The Old and Rare Books Collection can be used for research purposes in the following period: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m, and Friday, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.
Conditions of use:
- Valid library registration
- Application submitted through the form below. The application should arrive 2 working days before the requested time. The timeslot will be confirmed following negotiation.
The collection cannot be visited with a day ticket.
The maximum duration of a research session is 3 hours. Researchers may only consult the old and rare volumes (designated RM) in the collection. These are grouped under the title Régi Muzeális (RM) in the catalogue; individual titles can be viewed by clicking the Long tab.
A researcher may use a maximum of 5 documents at a time. Volumes in the collection are not for loan.
Students may research the museum volumes only after presenting a recommendation from their supervisor/lecturer.
To protect the collection, photocopying of documents is not permitted; however, photographs may be taken with personal devices using a flash-free mode.
