First steps in the Library

Come and register. All Corvinus students are entitled to use the services of the Library.

To visit the Library and to borrow books you’ll need a Library Card. You can pick up your Library Card at the Service Point on the 1st floor. (Bring along your ID card or passport.) You are to pay a fee of1000- HUF onthrough your Neptun account after receiving you card. Always bring your library card with you, you must show it at the entrance.

Monday – Friday: 8 am – 9 pm

What can I bring to the Library?
You can bring personal belongings and mobile devices, a standard size bag and a backpack to the library, but we recommend using the downstairs cloakroom and luggage lockers. If you bring your coat, don’t put it on the chair next to you. Don’t leave your things unattended, ask for a laptop lock at the service point.

Library space
I. floor: Borrowing area with service point, Social Sciences Reading Room, Training Room equipped with computer (learning support trainings), Computer Lab (access to the computers with Cusman ID), Group Study Rooms with online reservation (http://www.lib.uni-corvinus.hu/eng/content/group-study-room), scanning, copying, printing.
II. floor: Economics Reading Room, Business Economics Reading Room, 3 Group Study Rooms
III. floor: Journal Reading Room, Old and Rare Book Collection

Off campus use of library resources
Set up the VPN! You can access the services and content limited to the university network remotely logging in to VPN. (https://www.uni-corvinus.hu/main-page/life-at-corvinus/it-services/wifi-vpn/?lang=en)

Borrowing
Find the book in the catalog: https://hunteka.uni-corvinus.hu/en_GB/search

You will find the required literature on the shelves. You can borrow books marked with a white stripe. Use self-service checkout stations. Your PIN: month of birth + day (eg 0321). Change it through the catalog interface!
You can extend your loans and you can make a book reservations for borrowed items.
When returning books, please put them into the bookdrop in front of the entrance of the Library or return them to the self-service station.
