Exhibition and discussion on banned, censored literature

Date: 10 April 2025, 15:00
Location: Corvinus University of Budapest, Building C, University Library, Aquarium Room
The language of the discussion will be Hungarian.
Moderator: Dr. Júlia Sipos (Corvinus, University Library, Cultural Fellow)
The event will present works of economics, politics and fiction that have been banned or censored in different periods for different reasons. Invited speakers and guests will look back at the literature that was inaccessible to them as students, researchers or teachers. We seek answers to the questions: how was it possible to access unofficial literature, how were the volumes acquired, how were ‘forbidden‘ ideas shared in education, what library regulations applied to them?
