Date: Tuesday, 29 October 2024, 15:00 p.m.

Location: Online event (the Zoom connection link will be sent to registered participants by e-mail)

The most important challenge of our time is global climate change. Slowing down the alarming processes and mitigating environmental, economic and social consequences is crucial for all of us. The European Union has developed an ambitious plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, but the road to get there does not promise to be easy. We all make decisions every day about what we consume, where and how we travel, and how we live.

As part of the project “Green rights for a sustainable future: Enhancing citizens’ involvement in EU’s climate ambitions”, Levegő Munkacsoport is trying to collect the options for action that help maintain the livability of our planet. At the workshop, the participants can listen to presentations about the most worrying processes, the possibilities of their mitigation and adaptation. During the event, it will be possible to discuss questions and comments, as well as to test the carbon footprint calculation methodology developed by the University of Turin.
