On Monday, the two-day event will feature a workshop on “Business Education and the Future of the Planet”. Panel discussions, presentations and a Q&A session will all focus on ways to improve business education. You can register for Monday’s event here.
The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday in the main auditorium of the Gellért Campus, where Prof. Dr. Bruno van Pottelsberghe de la Potterie will present the “Doctor et Professor Honoris Causa” award. There will also be a scientific lecture, a laudatory speech and a Senate meeting. You can register for Tuesday’s event here.
Prof. Dr. Paul Shrivastava will give two lectures entitled “Transforming Business Education – A Systems View” and “Responsible Business in the Era of Anthropocene”. The latter will be immediately followed by a Q&A session where participants will have the opportunity to ask the professor questions.
Paul Shrivastava is Professor of Management at the Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business and Co-president of The Club of Rome. Author of 20 books and 150 papers. His works have been cited nearly 25,000 times. He received his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in the fields of strategic planning and philosophy of science. Many scientific and institutional innovations are associated with Paul Shrivastva’s name. He was one of the founders of Hindustan Computers Ltd (one of the largest computer manufacturing companies in India).
Paul Shrivastava’s collaboration with Corvinus University of Budapest began in 2012. At that time, he was the “keynote speaker” at the “Spirituality and Sustainability: New Path for Entrepreneurship” international conference organized by the university. He also gave a lecture in the university’s CEMS program. Professor Shrivastava maintains good academic relations with researchers from various BCE institutes and continuously collaborates with researchers from the Corvinus Institute for Advance Studies and the Center for Business Ethics.
