Research seminars – Institute of Operations and Decision Sciences (ODS)
ODS organizes two seminars in the autumn semester of 2024/2025. The first one is about the organisation of hydrogen supply chains with cooperative stakeholders.Date: 8 November 2024. (Friday) 11:40-13:30
Location: Corvinus University of Budapest (main building) room E118.2
The title of the seminar: Hydrogen Supply Chains and Cooperative Game Theory
Presenters: Andrea Gelei, Tamás Solymosi, Sofía De-León Almaraz (Institute of Operations and Decision Sciences, CIAS)
Description of the topic
The research forum will explore the crucial role of cooperation in advancing new energy supply chains, with a focus on the hydrogen supply chain (HSC) due to its significance in global decarbonization efforts. Cooperation among HSC stakeholders is essential for overcoming challenges such as the lack of low-carbon hydrogen infrastructure and the high costs associated with hydrogen production and distribution. The presenters will examine a case where HSC coalitions form hierarchical structures, working towards common goals like decarbonization and fulfilling demand at affordable prices. A cooperative game theory toolbox will be introduced to evaluate six environmental benefit allocation solutions, comparing three naïve methods with three game-theoretical allocation rules. After the findings and conclusions are presented, the session will open for questions and further insights.
