Are we truly living in an infocracy, as philosopher Byung-Chul Han suggests? Can public discourse be replaced by Big Data, data-driven thinking, and digital rationality? Do algorithms merely mimic arguments, or do they replace them? Can Big Data detect all social problems? And will it provide optimal answers for everyone?
To explore these complex questions, László Kovács, adjunct professor of statistics, and Árpád Rab, expert in digital culture and futurist, senior research fellow at the NKE Institute for Information Society Research, will join the discussion.
