The aim of the event was to bring together the university’s professors, former and current doctoral students, as well as interested members of the public for a joint celebration.
The event began with opening speeches by Dr. Lajos Szabó, the rector, and Dr. Zoltán Balázs, the President of the Doctoral Council, where they emphasized the role of doctoral programs in the advancement of science and society.
This was followed by the 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) competition, which was organized for the first time at Corvinus University and in the country. Here, doctoral students had three minutes to present their research projects in a clear and convincing manner, while being evaluated by the jury and the audience.
Following this, alumni of the university took the stage to share their experiences and how their time in Corvinus Doctoral Schools shaped them.
Later in the day, we celebrated the anniversary of the Stipendum Hungaricum scholarship program through a quiz game, where participants could expand their knowledge about the program in a playful way.
After the quiz, in the evening hours, a joint reception was held by the Doctoral Schools and the Doctoral Student Union, which served as an elegant finale to the day.
As the event came to a close, the organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone who participated in this memorable day. The anniversary not only celebrated past achievements but also looked towards the future, proving that Corvinus Doctoral Schools remain committed to advancing scientific research and supporting students in their academic and professional development.
