The Corvinus president-rector stressed the importance of underlining the academic freedom and autonomy of universities, the need to provide opportunities for dialogue and a safe environment where everyone can express their views and ideas. He added that there is no university in the world that can truly thrive under constant pressure from one political side or another. In the interview, he said that it is very important both to increase the number of international students coming to the university from Europe and to increase the number of international lecturers and researchers. He also talked about how the overall strategic objectives would be implemented, what changes were planned in the university’s management and whether there would be any changes to the student scholarship system.
