Our students won three gold medals at this year’s MEFOB FESZT
2023-05-16 15:04:38Our students competed in several sports at the Hungarian University and College National Championship (MEFOB) Sports Festival.
Tennis:
A record number of entries were received by the organisers of this year’s MEFOB tennis tournament in Debrecen. In the men’s singles event Dániel Molnár achieved 1st place. Gréta Tóth finished 3rd in women’s singles.
Chess:
One gold medal in the individual and one gold in the men’s team is the Corvinus record at this year’s MEFOB FEST chess competition. Imre Balog won first place in the professional competition and we also won the team competition. Balázs Palkovics came 5th. Tamás Varga came 6th.
Futsal:
We lost the bronze medal match of the MEFOB Feszt University Futsal Championship in Debrecen only in extra time, in a heroic fight.

- ELTE Bp – Corvinus (Men 3rd place) 3:3, after extra time 5
Basketball:
Our men’s basketball team also finished 4th in the Final Four. Bence Pfandler was selected to be a member of the all star team of the tournament.
- Közgáz SC and DSK – Mosonmagyaróvár Uni-Győr (men’s semi-final) – 56:76
- Közgáz SC and DSK – ME Miskolc (men’s 3rd place) – 55:80
Ultimate Frisbee:
Our ultimate frisbee team achieved the 5th place.
