At its meeting on 22 May, the Maecenas Universitatis Corvini Foundation, in agreement with the proposal of the Senate of the Corvinus University of Budapest, decided to submit to the President of Hungary the nomination of the University Professor of the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels.
Bruno van Pottelsberghe is Professor of Economics, Dean of the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, Rector’s advisor on technology transfer at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and President of the QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management Network), a network of 37 university and corporate partners, which he co-founded in 2012.
In his candidacy programme, he has set out a bolder vision, a simpler management system, a fine-tuned strategy and a more ambitious international networking and branding agenda.
The new Rector will be appointed for a four-year term and is expected to take up his duties at the beginning of August.
