Corvinus signed agreements with 5 new international prestigious partners in 2021.

Corvinus has about 250 partner universities in more than 50 countries around the world. A continuous monitoring of our network of international partners is extremely important so that our students can pursue international part-time studies with excellent partners.

In 2021, we concluded agreements with several prestigious international partners, so now our students may apply for part-time training programmes at the following institutions.

  • Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia)
o In the 2022 QS World University Rankings, it ranks 78th, making it the only Russian institution on the list of the top 100 universities. Established in 1755, it was the first university in Russia that educated several Nobel Prize-winning scientists, and it has about 47,000 students today. Our exchange students may study here in the field of business sciences.

o HSE University is one of the best universities in Russia and is ranked high in world rankings: in 2021, QS ranks the university 305th, and 131st in the field of business sciences and 76th in the field of economics.
  • Université Laval (Canada)
o With roots dating back to 1663, Université Laval is the first French-speaking university in North-America. Today, it is one of Canada’s largest universities and is ranked by QS in the 250-300th places in the field of economics and 351-400th places in the field of business sciences. There is also English-language education alongside French, which attracts more than 2,500 foreign students each year.
  • Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands)
o Established in 1880, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is one of the most prestigious universities in the Netherlands. In 2021, QS ranks it 201st in the world, 151-200th in business sciences and 92nd in economics.
  • Washington State University (United States):
o Having an AASCB international accreditation, the university is ranked, in general and in business sciences, 176th – 200th in the 2021 Times Higher Education ranking.

How are partners selected?

At its meeting on 10 June 2021, the International Commission adopted the current criteria for extending international partnership agreements and entering into new ones, which include the following quality criteria for cooperating partner institutions:

  1. position in international and domestic rankings of institutions and fields of expertise
  2. results in terms of international accreditation and certification
  3. membership in international professional networks
  4. our prior experience concerning, and intensity of, professional relationships with them (e.g., degree of student, staff and lecturer mobility, joint research applications, etc.)
  5. aspects to be considered on an individual basis (e.g., regional focus, special training or doctoral programmes, etc.)

691 students submitted their application for international partial training in November 2021, to spend the autumn or spring semester of the next academic year at a partner university. As there are still many places available, it is also worth applying in the additional applications period, which is expected to open in May, for those who have not yet applied but would like to study at an international university in the spring of 2023.
