Corvinus and Market Építő Zrt. sign cooperation agreement

Corvinus University of Budapest has added a leading construction company to its list of strategic partners. The three-year cooperation agreement was signed by Anthony Radev, President of the University, and Lajos Szabó, Acting Rector on behalf of Corvinus University of Budapest and by Sándor Scheer, CEO of the company on behalf of Market Építő Zrt. in the main building of Corvinus on Thursday. 

“As Hungary’s top business university, it is crucial for us to continuously integrate the latest successful corporate experiences into university education. Thanks to our partnership with Market, we are able to integrate the knowledge of the best specialists, project managers from a complex industry into our students’ studies,” said Anthony Radev, President of Corvinus. 

“We are constantly expanding our live corporate partnerships, because through practice-oriented education we can effectively support our students to start building their own professional relationships and to apply what they have learned effectively in the marketplace. This up-to-dateness is one of the attractions of the Corvinus degree,” said Lajos Szabó, Acting Rector of Corvinus. 

“At Market Építő Zrt., the supply of specialists and efficiency improvements were among our top priorities. That is why, in line with this, we are looking for opportunities to collaborate with open-minded higher education institutions that can help us with research and development or other efficiency improvement projects, and whose training systems can be made more practical by combining our real-life experience with theirs. It is our hope that the cooperation between Corvinus and Market will greatly contribute to the university’s graduates entering the world of work with a practice-oriented attitude, receptive to project work” – said Sándor Scheer, CEO of Market Építő Zrt. 

As part of the strategic partnership, Market’s senior managers will regularly give professional lectures and seminars on their own company operations and industry examples, focusing on project management and leadership skills. Every six months, Corvinus offers the company with a scientific forum to facilitate joint thinking, to identify and address market and industry needs, risks and challenges. Market Építő Zrt. participates in Corvinus’ strategic partner meetings for innovation and R&D collaborations, as well as in dialogues on the strategic directions of the university.  

Earlier this year, the University signed several cooperation agreements with companies such as EY Hungary, ExxonMobil and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
