The former director of the University's Informatics and former associate professor of Computer Science, was 82 years old.
Our dear old colleague, János Csépai graduated as a planning mathematician economist in 1967 and was a founding member of the Computer Science Research Group (1970) and the Computer Science Department (1972) at the predecessor of Corvinus, the Marx Károly University of Economics (MKKE).
In 1990, he organised and headed the Centre for Computer Science (CC) of the University (then known as the Budapest University of Economics and Business, BKE). From 1998 to 2000, he was Director of Informatics, continuing to manage the Computer Science Centre.
His funeral will take place on 11 November at 3 pm in the cemetery of St. Gellért Church (Bp. XI Bartók Béla u. 149).
