Judit Simon, Professor Emerita of the Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences, received the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award of the professional association in recognition of her outstandingly high quality teaching, domestic and international scientific activities, her participation in the education of young scientists and her outstanding professional public activity in the field of marketing research.
Judit Simon is a leading figure in marketing research and education, and was Director of the University’s Institute of Marketing and Media (now the predecessor of the Institute of Marketing and Communication Studies) between 2008 and 2016. One of the most important pillars of her teaching activities is the establishment and development of the course Marketing Research and Market Analysis (formerly Quantitative Techniques of Marketing Research) and the Naresh. K. Malhotra and the book Marketing Research in Hungarian. Judit Simon is also responsible for the DSG course jointly organised with the University of Passau and was the head of the German Language Centre for Business Administration at Corvinus University of Budapest between 1997 and 2016. Thanks to her outstanding scientific and educational work, the University of Passau awarded her an honorary doctorate in 2014 and an honorary citizenship in 2019.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was previously awarded to Istvánné Hoffmann, professor emerita and Dr. László Szabó, both of whom were lecturers at Corvinus.
