Two of Corvinus colleagues were honoured on national holiday

On the occasion of the 20th of August, Zoltán Oszkár Szántó, Vice-Rector and Dean of the CIAS, and Dr. János Károly Printz, Honorary Associate Professor, received state honours.

At the ceremony held on Friday at Pesti Vigadó in Budapest, Minister Balázs Hankó and Róbert Zsigó, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry presented awards.

In recognition of his outstanding work, Dr. Zoltán Oszkár Szántó, economist-sociologist, professor, Vice-Rector of the Corvinus University of Budapest, and Dean of the International Research Centre of the Corvinus Institute for Advanced Studies (CIAS), was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the of the Hungarian Order of Merit, civil division.

Dr. János Károly Printz, Associate Professor, member of the Council of the Hungarian Olympic Academy and President of the Gyula Zsivótzky Olympic Circle Association, received the Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit, Civil division, for his high quality work.
