Second Hungarian Data Economist Meeting
2024-12-03 17:18:00The aim of the event, supported by Skills4EOSC, is to enable Hungarian data scientists to get to know each other's work better and to discuss the most important professional issues in an informal way.
The second informal meeting of Hungarian data scientists took place on 14 November 2024. The event was hosted by the Central Library of the Corvinus University of Budapest and was initiated by the KIFÜ, the ELTE National Digital Heritage Laboratory (DH-LAB) and the HUN-REN Data Repository Platform (ARP).
The meeting covered the data scientist challenges at Corvinus, the training provided by the new data scientist network of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network, the main national events (EOSC Tripartite Event, X Open Science Forum) and the FAIR-IMPACT workshops.
The event was attended by 30 participants representing the most important Hungarian research institutes and universities: Corvinus University of Budapest, Budapest University of Economics, University of Debrecen, Egis Pharmaceuticals, ELI-HU Laser Research Institute, Eötvös Loránd University, HUN-REN Balaton Limnological Research Institute, HUN-REN Humanities Research Centre, HUN-REN Ecological Research Centre, HUN-REN Research Centre for Social Sciences, HUN-REN Wigner Research Centre for Physics, Governmental Informatics Development Agency, Hungarian Association of Information Brokers, Hungarian Academy of Sciences Library and Information Centre, National Pedagogical Library and Museum, University of Pannon, University of Pécs.
The next informal meeting of Hungarian data scientists is expected to take place in January 2025.
