Péter Ákos Bod became an honorary citizen of Miskolc

The General Assembly of the County City of Miskolc conferred the title of Honorary Citizen to Péter Ákos Bod, Professor Emeritus of Corvinus. 

Every year on 11 May, Miskolc City Day, the award is presented to persons and organisations who have enhanced the reputation of the city through their work and activities. Péter Ákos Bod was not born in Miskolc, but he spent his childhood in the city, graduating from the Földes Ferenc High School.  

Péter Ákos Bod has been a leading figure in Hungarian economics and economic policy since the early 1990s. He is doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, a member of the board of Akadémiai Kiadó, vice-president of the Hungarian Economic Society and chairman of the supervisory board of Transparency International Hungary.
