Corvinus and EY concluded a strategic agreement

The three-year cooperation was signed by Anthony Radev, President of the University, and Lajos Szabó, Acting Rector on behalf of Corvinus University of Budapest and by Tamás Vékási, Country Managing Partner (CMP) of the company on behalf of EY Hungary, in the main building of Corvinus on Thursday. 

“Corvinus attaches great importance to maintaining a lively relationship with prominent representatives of economic sectors, including the consultancy market, which plays a key role in development. We are proud to be the first of the BIG4, the four firms representing three quarters of the audit and tax advisory market, to enter into a strategic partnership with EY,” said Anthony Radev, President of Corvinus, on the agreement.  

“We place great emphasis on the inclusion of the latest trends and issues from the business world in Corvinus’ educational materials. This significantly contributes to the fact that we always provide students with modern, up-to-date knowledge, thus continuously increasing the value of the Corvinus degree” – said Lajos Szabó, Acting Rector of the University. 

“Corvinus and EY have common goals. We do our utmost to educate the future decision-makers of the domestic economy and the outstanding leaders of the region. For me, there was no question that we had to strengthen our cooperation. Students begin to plan their dream careers at the University, which we can further support and even realize together at EY. That’s why I’m glad that in the future even more students will be able to recognise this unique opportunity during their university years” – said Tamás Vékási, CMP of EY Hungary. 

The special feature of the agreement is that the partnership is adapted year by year to the needs of the parties. From the spring semester onwards, Corvinus students will be able to attend EY guest lectures, where the company will offer case studies from its own operations, which are used in everyday life. Depending on the needs, they may later take on a co-leading role in an EY thesis or run a company case study competition. As part of the contract, the university will provide access to students and a VIP booth at the Career Expo for EY.  

Earlier this year, the university signed several cooperation agreements with major companies in the economy, including ExxonMobil and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
