More scholarships, destinations outside Europe – the benefits of the Pannónia programme

2024-12-19 12:22:00

You may have heard that you can now travel abroad under the Pannónia programme. This offers many advantages, and now we have collected them all for you.
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

Travel even outside Europe with more scholarships!

The Pannónia programme also allows you to travel to partners outside the European Union. At Corvinus you can choose from more than 200 partners. For the list of partners currently available click HERE.

Pannónia offers short and long-term mobility opportunities for students at all academic levels: in addition to bachelor and master programme students, those in single-cycle and doctoral programmes can also apply. Short-term mobility also gives students the opportunity to participate as speakers at conferences or to do research with a partner abroad during doctoral studies. You can also apply for a Pannónia support for the duration of your practice period abroad.

The countries participating in the programme are divided into three groups, based on the cost of living – the most expensive countries are in the first group, the less expensive in the second and the least expensive ones in the third:

The amount of support is also higher: the Pannónia scholarship ranges from HUF 350,000 per month to HUF 400,000 per month, depending on the country of destination.

Pannónia also includes a scholarship programme for excellence at master and doctoral level: students applying to universities ranked in the top 250 in the latest QS or Times rankings can receive such a scholarship. This has a higher value (HUF 500,000 per month) and may come with travel and housing allowance.

The table below summarises the main differences between Pannónia and Erasmus+:

* The TPF’s position is that, as these are two completely separate programmes, a previous Erasmus+ mobility does not exclude a mobility with Pannónia, as long as this does not conflict with the university regulations.

** In principle, short-term mobility is available for obtaining credits, but Pannónia also allows you to participate as a speaker at a conference using such funding.
