We are pleased to welcome Dr. Sabina Schnell to the Department of Public Policy

Dr. Schnell comes from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs—ranked no. 1 in the field of public affairs—where she was an Assistant Professor.

Dr. Schnell earned her PhD from The George Washington University, one of the top universities in the United States. Dr. Schnell’s research focuses on integrating transparency and other public values into public policy and administration. Her work examines how these values influence the design and implementation of public services, with particular attention to governance and public administration reforms.  

Throughout her career, Dr. Schnell has worked with prominent international organizations, including the World Bank and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and has extensive experience in global governance initiatives. Also, she is the Associate Editor of one of the field’s leading journal, the Public Administration Review. 

In addition to her research, Dr. Schnell has taught courses on public policy, administration, and governance, equipping students with a deep understanding of how public values influence policymaking in global contexts. Her strong international background and commitment to both academic rigor and practical application will undoubtedly enrich the learning experience at Corvinus University and contribute significantly to the advancement of both research and teaching in our department. Dr. Schnell’s expertise will play a key role in furthering our mission to engage with global challenges and foster impactful policy change.
