Another Sustainability Recognition for the Gellért Campus

The Corvinus Gellért Campus project was showcased as a model project at a conference in Berlin organized by one of Germany's most renowned environmental organizations.
At the “Sustainable Building Renovation” conference held by Deutsche Umwelthilfe, only three European model projects were selected for presentation. According to a recent Facebook post by the construction company Market Group and an article on the architectural news site magyarepitok.hu, at the event held in late November 2024, Ágoston Flaisz, founder and CEO of Planet Group, delivered a presentation on the innovative and eco-conscious technologies used during the campus development, including:
Installation of a solar panel system on the roof of the education tower,
Deployment of geothermal heat pump systems to enhance heating and cooling energy efficiency,
Advanced insulation solutions to minimize energy consumption,
Creation of green roofs on the upper levels and nearly 12,000 square meters of fully developed green space around the building to improve the urban climate.
Planet Group played a key role in designing the energy-efficient technical concept for the Corvinus Gellért Campus, integrating their recommendations into the project’s documentation, and contributing to the mechanical planning process.
