Corvinus University Triumphs in Sydney: A Victory Forged by Preparation and Precision

Corvinus students are renowned for their success in case competitions. We are proud that our outstanding students carry the University’s reputation around the world and have won numerous prizes in the world’s most prestigious case solving competitions. Our undergraduate students participated in a prestigious international case-solving competition in Sydney, winning the six-hour final round.
Our university competed against some of the most prestigious case-solving teams on the international stage at the HKUST International Case Competition in Hong Kong.
The Antal Ács Case Study Competition organised by the University of Debrecen was won by the Corvinus team again.
The students of the Corvinus University of Budapest attending the Organisations and Management Master Programme won first place at the EMI Cornell Case Competition at Cornell University in New York. Adél Hadházy, Luca Horváth, Tamás Józsa and Gergely Keményfi told us about this success and the exciting road leading to it.
Our undergraduate students participated in a prestigious international case solving competition in Florida, where they won the bronze medal, being the only European team to reach the finale.
Corvinus students beat the University of California, Berkeley team to take bronze at an international business competition in Los Angeles in mid-February.
Dávid Nagyvári won the Hungarian round of the Red Bull Basement competition with his invention of an online interface for a personalised capsule wardrobe. The competition will soon take him to Tokyo.
In October, Corvinus University competed in the Münster Case Competition, navigating three challenging case studies designed to test strategic thinking, innovation, and teamwork. The competition included two short (3-hour) cases and one intense 12-hour case, each focused on real-world scenarios from prominent companies.
Our undergraduate students gave an impressive performance at the prestigious Thammasat Undergraduate Business Challenge (TUBC) in Thailand, competing alongside teams from the world’s top universities.
The Corvinus team was delegated by the Consulting Club to the two-day AKB Business Champions international case competition in Mannheim.
Our undergraduate students, Eszter Bujáky, Izabella Jahn, Petra Jenei, and Levente Pintér represented our university at the Chulalongkorn International Business Case Competition in Thailand, between the 20th and 26th of May 2024.
Three of our students represented the University at the final in Vienna.
The Corvinus team finished the first round of the Vancouver Business Informatics Case Study Competition as division winners.
At the John Molson International MBA Case Competition in Canada, students from 30 universities around the world competed against each other, with the Corvinus team beating the hosts in the semi-finals.
Not only are our students successful in case competitions, we are also proud that they are regularly well-performed in sports and academic competitions.

For the third time Richter Gedeon Plc. organised the Richter MindRun, the idea marathon competition for students. Our Corvinus student, Marcell Fekete, won the special prize.

The teams of Corvinus University of Budapest and Neumann János University have won the Budapest Stock Exchange’s (BSE) Kochmeister Prize for their first and second place in this year’s CFA Institute and CFA Society Hungary equity analysis competition, the BSE announced.
