Assistant Lecturer – AÉB – 9/2025

The Institute of Accounting and Law announces an open call for applications for the Assistant Lecturer (part time) position for 2 year definite period.
The starting date is spring semester 2025.
Job description and key duties:
Teaching duties:
- At least 6 lessons (1 lesson = 45 minutes) per week on average of two semesters)
Research duties:
- Research in internationally relevant accounting issues preferably in connection with employee benefits.
- Participate in research activities of the institute in junior roles
Service duties
- Participate in the administrative tasks of the institute
- Organization of research seminars
- Organization of student events (mainly for master students)
Essential criteria:
- comprehensive exam (also referred to as: admission to candidacy or PhD qualifying exam) passed in a doctoral program;
- higher education teaching/ research experience or research experience gained in research centre or institute;
- experience in the teaching of at least one course (preferably in a language other than Hungarian) or participation in a research project;
- demonstrated research related activities (papers or conference presentations)
Desirable criteria:
- Auditor or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in IFRS and employee benefit schemes
Documents and certificates to be submitted as part of the application:
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae
- Presentation of the teaching, research and service performance and activities in three separate documents
- Cover letter, including the presentation of future academic plans (educational, teaching development and research plans)
- References written by at least two reputable leading professors or researchers of the discipline (signed, scanned)
- ☐Research paper/☐Job market paper/☒Working paper/☐Doctoral dissertation
- Scanned copies of the documents verifying the university degree, scientific rank (eg. PhD degree), the documents verifying other professional qualifications. (In case of scientific ranks obtained abroad, the nostrification will be arranged in the next phase of the selection procedure.)
