Corvinus hosted the AACSB Accreditation Conference

The event was attended by more than 230 participants representing 120 higher education institutions from 40 countries. 

During the three-day programme, participants were able to learn more about AACSB accreditation and exchange views on current trends in higher education. The conference was chaired by Péter Fehér, Vice President for International Relations, together with Stephanie Bryant, AACSB Executive Vice President and Global Chief Accreditation Officer.  

The keynote address was given by Dr Mark Esposito, a researcher at Harvard University, who spoke about the future uses of artificial intelligence, including the role of new technologies in higher education. Artificial intelligence was also reflected in other presentations, giving participants useful ideas on how the latest generative AI services can facilitate their daily work. 

On Thursday, Corvinus also hosted a reception at the recently opened Gellért Campus, where participants could enjoy the green surroundings and the great view. But the new campus was not only a topic of the evening reception. The next day, Márton Barta, Head of Strategy at Corvinus, Hana Machková, Vice Rector of the Prague University of Economics and Business, and Maha Mourad, Associate Dean at the American University in Cairo, held a roundtable discussion on trends and challenges in the development of university infrastructure. 

In 2022, Corvinus University of Budapest was the first and only university in Hungary to receive AACSB accreditation, one of the most prestigious quality accreditations for business schools. AACSB, which has its roots in the USA, organised a conference in Hungary for the first time, providing an excellent opportunity for Corvinus and other Hungarian universities to strengthen international links.
