This collaboration aims to offer scholarships to athletes who want to learn, thereby promoting their careers. The Memorandum of Understanding on launching the scholarship programme was signed by Husain Al-Musallam, the First Vice-President of FINA, and Dr. András Lánczi, Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest, at the premises of Corvinus University of Budapest on 17 May 2021.
dr. Balázs Fürjes, Secretary of State responsible for the development of Budapest and the surrounding metropolitan area, and Sándor Wladár, President of the Hungarian Swimming Association, were present at the event and expressed their support by signing the document.
According to the cooperation agreement, the parties will work out the details of the implementation of the scholarship programme in the next few months. Rector Dr. András Lánczi said at the event: Our common goal is to support active athletes in their efforts to learn.
