On December 18, the event was held on the occasion of the 10-year anniversary of the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme, the celebration of the Stipendium Hungaricum Excellence Awardees, and the greeting of our scholarship students. The approximately four-hour evening in the Main Hall had 400 participants who came to the Corvinus from almost 60 different countries.

The hostess of the evening was our SH scholarship student Suffiatu Rashidatu Allieu-Moigboi. In his opening speech, Dr Péter Fehér, vice president for international relations, said that the increasing number of foreign full-time students indicates how international a university is. Corvinus is grateful to the SH and Diaspora programs for providing such a high number of outstanding students. In 10 years, the initial 2 sending countries have now become almost 60. It is also a spectacular development that, while in the 2013-14 academic year, our University received 5 students within the programme, this year 880 scholarship students are studying at Corvinus. Afterwards, Dr István Kónya, the dean of doctoral programs, and Dr Dániel Havran, the dean of graduate programmes, gave a short welcome speech about the impact of the scholarship programs at our institution.

After the greetings, we introduced our students who won the Student Excellence Award of the Stipendium Hungaricum Higher Education Scholarship in 2023. Ayaulym Akhilova, bachelor student in International Relations, and Mira Al Aridi, master student in Health Policy, Planning and Financing, received recognition. They both carry out many professional and voluntary activities in addition to their excellent academic results. With their activity and attitude, they can serve as a real example for their fellow students.

The Bingo organized as part of the evening, as well as the quiz game that followed the dinner, were also a great success among the participants, and there was also group singing and group photography.

We are glad that after several years, Corvinus could host the Stipendium Hungaricum and Diaspora scholarship students again, this time by International Relations and Accreditations. We would like to thank those present for their participation and we hope that in the future we will be able to celebrate the programs and our scholarship holders again with such a large number of people!
