Again there was an inter-university swimming competition

Last year, for the first time, we organised the Inter-University Swimming Competition in the Tüske swimming pool, thus creating a tradition together with ELTE. This semester, on Thursday morning, 25 April, the pool was again surrounded by a great atmosphere and enthusiastic competitors. It was decided between four universities to see who could clock up the most kilometres in 1 hour, in teams of 6-10 (ELTE 10, Budapest University of Economics 10, Óbuda University 10, Corvinus 9).  

The teams from the four universities went head-to-head in a fierce battle over the 1 hour. In the last 15 minutes, even the most exhausted of the teams jumped to their feet to cheer on their teammates. In the end, ELTE and BGE came first in a close race, with Corvinus in 2nd place and ÓE in 3rd, closely behind. The seemingly easy, but in fact exhausting race saw 12 litres of mineral water and 8 packets of glucose consumed from the refreshment table.
