The discussion covers the main challenges facing higher education, increasing international presence and strengthening research. Speaking about the strategy, Anthony Radev stressed that “it is not just a document about abstract aspirations and visions, but also an opportunity to measure our performance on a regular basis and to monitor student satisfaction and the value of our programmes on an ongoing basis”.
It was said that they do not intend to substantially increase the number of students, and that the proportion of foreign students is planned to be no more than 20-25% in the medium term. The President said that they would not give up on the idea that only the most talented and agile students would be admitted to Corvinus. The University’s mission is to train the next generation of Hungarian executives and outstanding experts, whose skills, performance and social commitment will in many ways shape the future of the country. He added that what the University has achieved is a rarity in Corvinus’ fields of study: more than 60% of the students with the best admission results in a country choose one institution.
